The Third House - The House of Goddess, The Joy of The Moon
The third house is the zodiac sign which precedes - or falls away from - the fourth house, and has a sextile relationship with the first house. It represents your immediate environment and how you engage with it on a day to day basis.
If the fourth house is your home, the third house is the world that is just outside your doorstep. It represents the neighbors and neighborhood you see every time you step outside, and the places and people you encounter on your way to and from work, school, or weekly baby goat yoga class.
If the fourth house is your parents, the third house is the other people that make their hair turn gray, i.e. your siblings. Siblings are typically peers and people you encounter on a regular basis, at least during childhood. Even if you don't have siblings, third house people are those with whom you naturally collaborate with when united by common interest. Other times they become your rivals when you want the same thing, but only one of you can have it. The third house will often have something to say about your competitive edge, and how you go about achieving your goals.
If the fourth house represents your private thoughts and feelings, the third house is how you translate your inner world into external action. It is here we engage in communications such as writing and speaking. Blogs, magazines, podcasts, TV shows and other regular publications - whether you're producing them or consuming them - will make themselves known in this house. Third house communications tend to have a short shelf life and are usually more relevant to a specific moment in time, such as the daily news, a conversation with a friend or a meme you re-posted on twitter.
