New Moon in Pisces -3/13/21 -
"“Runnin’ down a dream”
Venus is in her exaltation and playing host to this new moon, as Jupiter is busy making history with Saturn in Aquarius. As she applies to Neptune, together they create visions of otherworldly beauty, fantasy, fairy tales, and love that transcends boundaries. This may come as a welcome departure after February’s austere congregation in Aquarius, especially for those who feel things have been a bit too real lately. There’s nothing wrong with casting yourself as the hero of your own story, even if it entails a little embellishment here or exaggeration there. We may find the line between healthy fantasy and self-delusion especially fuzzy and perhaps especially tempting to cross. After all, they’re only delusions of grandeur until everyone else agrees with you.
As Mars in Gemini is applying to a trine with Saturn in Aquarius, we are reminded that even the most sublime omelets require some eggs to be cracked. This cooperative pairing of malefics has the impartial drive, foresight, and social intelligence needed for separating the good ideas from the bad and the achievable dreams from the hopelessly delusional. During Mercury’s time in Aquarius, he offers a coherent and rational mission statement to Mars. However, on the 16th, Mercury will slip into Pisces, the sign of his fall. The battle plans Mercury sends to Mars might do well as works of poetry or chivalric romance, but they could easily get Mars into trouble, particularly as he encounters the north node on the 26th. Now is the time to make sure that the quests we embark on have some basis in reality; otherwise, we can easily find ourselves chasing dragons or tilting at windmills.
